With the business committed to growth, we are now seeking to identify a recently qualified accountant to join the finance team. This will be an all-encompassing role which will give exposure to all aspects of the finance function as well as taking on deal-related duties. Ideally suited to someone with a solid foundation in accounting and seeking to take a step into more commercial involvement as well as being part of a dynamic and collaborative team.

The role of Financial Accountant will take responsibility for the financial accounting and performance reporting for our rapidly growing property portfolio. The role will suit a highly organised, diligent individual looking to further their career in real estate finance.
Responsibilities
Financial accounting responsibility, reporting jointly to the Finance Manager and FC
Responsible for monthly financial and performance reporting to shareholders
Maintenance and review of Propco Holdco structures including bookkeeping, monthly reporting and statutory accounts preparation
Accounting for both investment and development properties
Help to shape the controls and processes of the finance function
Manage the external auditors during the year end process
Review of year end corporation tax returns
Preparation of monthly VAT and CIS returns for the group
Assist with bank debt covenant reporting utilisation requests to the bank
Assist with tax structuring, financial due diligence and transaction support for new acquisitions
Analysis of development budgets and quarterly financial models to reflect portfolio performance
Assist with treasury and liquidity management for the group, including cash forecasts and preparation of equity requirement forecasts
Assist the team the migration from Sage to Yardi system
Other ad-hoc queries from the Directors Board

Essential Skills/ Experience
Qualified or part qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
Solid understanding of technical accounting required
Strong academic background
Good excel skills required
Experience of property/construction accounting preferred
Consolidation experience preferred
Statutory accounts preparation
